Survey Sampling International Completes Recapitalization Led by Providence Equity Partners Boston Ventures Management & Other Selling Shareholders to Maintain Ongoing Minority Ownership Stakes Robert Kamerschen Named as Non-Executive Chairman Fairfield, CT – Survey Sampling International (SSI) announced today that it completed a recapitalization of the Company in association with an investor group led by Providence Equity Partners. SSI also announced the appointment of Robert “Kam” Kamerschen as non-executive Chairman of the Company. Through the recapitalization, Providence Equity Partners will become the controlling shareholder of SSI. Existing SSI shareholders, including Beverly Weiman (President and Chief Executive Officer), Tom Danbury (Founder) and Boston Ventures Management, have maintained ownership stakes in SSI. The terms of the recapitalization were not disclosed. Founded in 1977, SSI is the preeminent supplier of survey samples to the global market research industry. The Company’s clients include leading market research firms in the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, and Japan.
